Byron Bay Rotary belongs to the Rotary District 9640. The Rotary District 9640 cuts across the New South Wales and Queenslands border and is located between the four G’s Grafton in the South-East, Glenn-Innes in the South-West, Goondiwindi in the North-West and the Gold Coast in the North East. These are currently 52 clubs in our district and about 1,200 Rotarians.

The next Rotary District Conference is held from 27 March til 29 March 2020 in Tenterfield/ New South Wales.

Our Rotary District 9640 is going to merge to District 9620 with Rotary Districts 9600 and 9630. A transition leadership team is responsible to build the new District until 01/July/2021. On Rotary District 9620 Website it keeps us informed about the transition process.

Byron Bay Rotary and the Rotary District 9640 are part of Rotary International which is our international service organization. The purpose of Rotary International is to bring together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian service, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations and to advance Goodwill Peace around the World. Aloha !!! The next Rotary International Convention is held from 06th to 10th, June 2020 in Honolulu (Hawaii),  USA.

The Rotary Foundation is a non-profit corporation that supports the efforts of Rotary International to achieve world understanding and peace through international humanitarianism, educational and cultural exchange programs. It is supported solely by voluntary contributions from Rotarians and Friends of the Foundation who shares its vision of a better world.
