WE'VE GOT COMMUNITY AT HEART

At our Club, we keep the higher good as our guiding principle and we try hard to stay relevant to our community at all times. That means understanding what's needed around us and working hard to support others. Learn about some of the local projects we support.
 STANDING AGAINST  DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
In conjunction with Rotary Clubs around Australia and many local organisations, we support services that help victims of Domestic Violence and campaign to raise awareness and promote respectful relationships across the Shire. To commemorate 100 years of Rotary in Australia, we donated a whopping $10,000 to the Mullumbimby Women's Resource Service.

PROTECTING CHILDREN  AGAINST ABUSE 

In partnership with the generous Uetritz foundation, our Club sponsors young school children to participate in the Bravehearts program, providing them with education and training in personal safety and child protection; all to protect children against sexual abuse. To date, we have sponsored 960 children to receive this vital education.

LOCAL STUDENTS

We believe that young people are the future of our Shire. Our goal is that all children, no matter their background, have the same opportunity to play, to learn and to be recognised. That's why we work with teaching and administration staff at local schools to:-   
  • provide sun hats and sunscreen for play
  • offer financial scholarships for Year 12 students to complete their education
  • sponsor schools reward and recognition programs
