Welcome from our President

Dear Guest,

We welcome you to our website. Byron Bay is located at the most easterly point of the Australian mainland. The Byron Bay Lighthouse and the beaches of Byron Bay are quite popular with tourists and surfers. As Rotarians we contribute to the well-being of our local community, support national and international disaster relief and humanitarian projects, and run a number of Projects for the community in the Byron Shire. Our Club has a history of over half a century.

If you want to become a member or just want to visit us at our regular weekly meetings you are most welcome. Our meetings are held at 6:30 pm for 7:00 pm every Tuesday at the Byron Bay Services Club.

Our Club has an information board at Banksia Drive, Byron Bay that will be soon refurbished. If the Information Board would help you to let others know about your business then please contact Johnny Rugers (who has recently joined the Club) from “Shogun Signs and Prints”, see link , or us. The income generated will be used to support those in need in our community, nationally and when appropriate internationally, e.g. natural disasters such as earthquakes, cyclones, education, etc.

Every dollar that we receive through donations is used for its intended purpose and no fees are deducted from it.

We organise and participate in a number of projects. You will find out about most of them and our 50 years history on this website. Our Facebook News tells about our latest activities. You can download a Membership Application Form for our Club if you are interested in joining us. On our website you will find a collection of Links to Rotary International and other Rotarian Organisations to follow up.

We look forward to your next visit to our website or as a visitor at our Club meetings.

Wonderful blessings,

Colin McJannett

President 2016 – 2019
